PMA Research Tracking Shows Top-Selling Projectors in December

San Juan Capistrano, California, USA – January 31, 2018. PMA Research, the worldwide market information experts on front projectors, has posted their most recent Projector Tracking Service results to the “Top-Selling Projectors” area of their website.

For more than 19 years now, PMA Research has collected monthly sell-through data from leading North American projector dealers, retailers, web resellers and distributors. Their Tracking Service family of monthly reports offers timely data and analysis on unit sales, true volume-weighted street prices, and inventories of front projectors for these channels.

Each month, PMA Research posts their “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:

Home Entertainment Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. retailers and web resellers. In the Home Entertainment projector category, Optoma had a trio of projectors make the “Top 5” list in December. The Optoma HD142X was the month’s best-selling projector, and their HD27 and GT1080Darbee came in fourth and fifth, respectively. Epson’s PowerLite Home Cinema 2150      landed in the second spot, and BenQ followed with the HT2050 coming in third.

Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. Pro AV, CEDIA and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, Epson swept the “Top 5” list in the Mainstream category in December. Three PowerLite models – the new X39, the 98H, and the 97H came in first, second and fourth, respectively.  Two Epson BrightLink models – the 685Wi and 695Wi — rounded out the Mainstream projector “Top 5” list coming in third and fifth, respectively.

4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of Pro AV dealers and systems integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector category, the December results showed Sony with the best-selling model – the VPL-PHZ10. Panasonic followed with the PT-RZ570W/B coming in second. Hitachi followed with a pair of models in the December “Top 5” with the CP-WX5055 in third and the CP-WX4042WN in fourth place. Epson rounded out this “Top 5” list with the PowerLite 109W.
