Each month, PMA Research posts their “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:

Laser-Phosphor Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the Laser-Phosphor projector segment, the July results showed Panasonic with the month’s top-selling model – the PT-RZ570W. Sony followed with a trio of laser-phosphor models on the July list. The VPL-FHZ55/W, the VPL-FWZ60/W, and the VPL-FHZ65/W came in second, third and fourth, respectively. NEC rounded out this “Top 5” list with the NP-P502HL taking the fifth spot among laser-phosphor model sales.

Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, Epson’s BrightLink 595Wi, PowerLite 98H, PowerLite 99WH, and BrightLink 585Wi took the first, second, fourth and fifth, respectively. NEC rounded out this “Top 5” list with the NP-M323X taking the third spot in July.

Home Entertainment Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. Optoma had a trio of best-selling models in the Home Entertainment projector segment in July with the HD141X taking top honors, and the HD26 and HD142X coming in fourth and fifth, respectively. Epson had the second place model with the PowerLite Home Cinema 2040. ViewSonic rounded out the July “Top 5” list with the PJD7828HDL coming in third.
