Sharp Introduces PN-Q Affordable Professional Displays

Sharp is adding a new series of large format professional displays into their digital signage portfolio. The new PN-Q series displays are Low-Energy-Optimized LCD panels designed for use in retail or hospitality digital signage applications and corporate meeting rooms.

The PN-Q series of panels offer a cost-effective signage solution with edge-lit LED backlighting and narrow bezels for a stylish slim design. The PN-Q displays combine full HD 1920×1080 resolution, 350-nit brightness, anti-glare coating and remote controllability via RS-232C or LAN. The panels are designed for up to 16/7 usage and are built with an integrated USB media player, two integrated 10-watt speakers and have a three-year onsite limited warranty.

The PN-Q series has a 70” model (PN-Q701) that is available now in the UK and the series will also have a 60” (PN-Q601), an 80” (PN-Q801) and an extra-large 90” (PN-Q901) model which are planned to become available in the coming weeks. Pricing and availability dates for the North American market have not been released yet.

PMA Research, a leading analyst firm covering the Display Industry, tracks sales data for large flat panel displays and has reported that sales volumes for professional displays with screen sizes of 60” and higher have increased 18% YTD 2017 compared to the same period last year.
