Optoma announced it has expanded its ProAV offering to include its new Creative Touch series of interactive flat panel displays (IFPDs) available in 65″, 75″ and 86″ formats. Optoma’s Creative Touch IFPDs are designed to provide an enhanced and affordable interactive solution to both education and corporate markets. The new OP861RK, OP751RK and OP651RK models each have 4K UHD resolution and a 20-point touch-enabled display to foster group collaboration. The displays provide a wide viewing angle with anti-glare glass to provide clear visibility to every seat in the room, even in daylight. The displays are also equipped with a Blue Light Filter to reduce eye strain.

Optoma’s Creative Touch interactive flat panels are compatible with a variety of devices and make collaboration easy in classrooms, lecture halls, corporate boardrooms, hospitality, live events and other shared spaces. The built-in features include a Cloud Drive to provide support for popular cloud storage solutions such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.  Further, an embedded Android 7.0 operating system with a dual-core ARM Cortex A73 processor delivers system functionality with fast start-up times and powerful processing for smooth touch capabilities. Optoma Creative Touch IFPDs can also function as a whiteboard with split screen capabilities and include pre-installed annotation tools. These tools allow meeting and lesson annotations to be easily broadcast to remote viewers by simply scanning a QR code to connect. Wireless sharing apps iMirror and ScreenShare allow wireless content sharing from mobile devices to make BYOD collaboration easy while the AirShare feature engages audiences with immediate results analysis from quizzes, polls and surveys via mobile devices. The extensive connectivity features offer versatile plug and play compatibility with Windows, Mac and Chrome OS devices. Additional features include a touch-control menu, a custom-designed wall mount with VESA bracket to accommodate mini-PCs and a 3-year advanced replacement warranty with 2-way free standard shipping.

PMA Research, market data experts for the large format display industry, reported in August an 8 percent year-over-year growth in IFPD unit sales through the U.S. distribution channel.
