Christie Launches Ultra-Narrow Bezel, 24/7 Video Wall LCD Panel

Christie Digital Systems USA, Inc. is boosting the Christie Ultra Series line of ultra-narrow bezel LCD flat panel displays with the launch of their new 55” model FHD553-XU panel. These professional-grade LCD panels are made for a variety of large-format, high-performance tiled video walls. Designed for control rooms and visualization markets, the FHD553-XU features 3.5mm ultra-narrow bezels to offer an industry-standard video wall solution. These panels provide high-resolution image quality, built-in video processing and 24/7 operation. The FHD553-XU also works with the Christie Phoenix® EP processor to deliver powerful AV data control.

Each panel is factory-calibrated and matched to ensure image uniformity across the entire video wall allowing for easy installation and setup. The ultra-narrow 3.5mm bezel width results in a near-seamless display that won’t interfere with viewing ability. Offering portrait and landscape orientation capabilities plus standard VESA mounting points, the Christie Ultra Series is easy to integrate into any control room, corporate space or architectural display. Like all Christie LCD panels, the Ultra Series is backed by Christie’s three-year parts and labor limited warranty, service and support.

The Christie FHD553-XU LCD panel also offers:

  • FHD resolution with support for 4K UHD in a 2×2 configuration
  • Built-in scaling support for 4K signals across video walls up to 10×10
  • 500 nits brightness
  • OPS slot for upgrades such as Phoenix EP for a control room solution or media player for digital signage.

Christie Phoenix EP is a compact, cost-effective and scalable solution for managing content on video walls and distributed displays.  Phoenix EP enables smooth remote access and control of AV data through a single robust system. Featuring a user-friendly interface, Phoenix EP helps to streamline tasks involved with managing AV systems by reducing cabling, rack space and installation complexity.

PMA Research, the display industry experts, has reported that distribution sales of professional displays rated for 24/7 operation and with bezels under 7.5 mm grew 50% year over year in Q2 of 2017.
